Tikka
is a Border Collie from sheepdog
lines. She came to me in May 2011 and it is was hoped that she has
inherited her parents herding ability. Tikka has taken a long time to
mature and will probably be three or four before she has got her brain
into gear.
Tikka has taken part in the displays since being a pup
and looks to take over from Disco in working with the children as she is
calm when children are using food with her. Also in time she should make
a nice pairs partner for a duo routine with Pogo
Although she has all the basics for freestyle it is
sheepdog work which she was bought for. Of course you can never tell if
a pup has herding ability and with Tikka being a little immature it took
a while for her to gain confidence. Although she is only at the start of
her training she is doing well.
