Workshops
These workshops are generally for clubs and can be a basic course for handlers that have never done the sport or if the handlers are competing then this allows me to extend their training and give them other ideas for moves etc. I find it best to limit the amount of handlers on a course to fifteen to twenty as I feel this is a manageable amount and allows me to spend a bit of time with all handlers individually as well as doing the group work. My thinking is that if the handlers and dogs do not go home tired I have not worked them hard enough!!! Workshops in other countries do need to be booked well in advanced. For details of workshops being held by clubs go to the diary page
Cabaret evenings
Audience participation is encouraged throughout the evenings and questions can be asked at anytime. The display nights are accompanied by Richards own commentary which can often be humorous as the dogs are not robots and anything can happen!! It is essential that the flooring for these demos is carpeted to prevent injury to the dogs. Mats canbe provided if the club does not a non slip surface.
